      Welcome to Beecharge's Privacy and Data Protection Policy ("Privacy Policy").
      At Beecharge ("we", "us", or "our") we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and Personal Data in compliance with the law and guidelines of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
      This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, process and keep your data safe. The Privacy Policy will tell you about your privacy rights, how the law protects you, and inform our employees and staff members of all their obligations and protocols when processing data.
      The individuals from which we may gather and use data can include:

      • Customers and any other people that the organisation has a relationship with or may need to contact.

This Privacy Policy applies to all our employees and staff members and all Personal Data processed at any time by us.


Legal basis for data collection

    "Personal Data" means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).
    We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of Personal Data about you which we have grouped together below. Not all of the following types of data will necessarily be collected from you but this is the full scope of data that we collect and when we collect it from you:

    • Profile/Identity Data: This is data relating to your first name, last name, gender, date of birth.

    • Car Data: this is data relating to your car and includes, make and model, location, state of charge and odometer

    Personal Data may be collected through the normal operation of use of our App, Web Services. Some are examples are:

    • Your location information

    • Feedback, ratings, compliments

    • Transaction information (Such as payment method);

    • Information about how you interacted with our Apps, Website or Services (such as features used and content viewed);

    • Device information (such as hardware model and serial number, IP addresses). File and app names and version, GPS location, IMEI number and advertising identifiers or any information that may indicate device or app modification);

    • Personal data you enter in messages when you use our in-app communication features; and personal data that may be captured through your interaction with us, our agents, in-vehicle audio and/or video recording during a charge.

    • Our in vehicle applications or devices :

      1. We may install in-vehicle audio and/or video recording applications or device to promote the safety and security of our driver and consumers

      2. Your Personal Data may be captured in these audio and/or video recording. Where in-vehicle audio and/or video recordings are made, such recordings are collected, processed, used and stored in a manner in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable laws.

Providing services and features

Your Personal Data will be used to provide, personalise, maintain and improve our Apps, Websites and Services. This includes using your Personal Data to:

  • Engage you to provide you with Services across our various business verticals;

  • Create, administer and update your account;

  • Process, manage or verify your eligibility for or application of Services, promotions, rewards and subscription with Beecharge;

  • Conduct due diligence checks and risk assessments / analysis;

  • Verify your identify and age (when necessary);

  • Validate your charge and process payment;

  • Offer, obtain, provide, facilitate or maintain insurance or financing solutions;

  • Track the process of your charge and detect abnormal charge variations;

  • Personalise your Apps experience (such as to recommend products and services relevant to you, identify your preferences or otherwise personalise your experience with Beecharge);

  • Make your experience more seamless, such as automatically filling in your registration information (such as your name or phone number) from one Service to another Service or when you participate in our surveys:

  • Perform internal operations necessary to provide our Services, including troubleshooting software bugs and operational problems, conducting data analysis, testing and monitoring and analysing usage and activity trend;

  • Protect the security or integrity of the Services and any facilities or equipment used to make the Service available;

  • Enable communications between our users;

  • Invite you to participate in our surveys and studies;

  • Enable our partners to manage and allocate fleet resources;

 

  1. Safety and Security
    We use your data to ensure the safety and security of our Services and all users. This includes:

    • Screening driver/electrician before enabling their use of our Services

    • Identify improper handling techniques of charger and your car parts;

    • Verifying your identity when you log into Beecharge App;

    • Using device, location, profile, usage and other Personal Data to prevent, detect and combat fraud and unsafe activities;

    • Monitoring compliance with our terms and conditions and policies.

  2. User support
    We use Personal Data to resolve user support issues. For example, we may :

    • Investigate and address concerns;

    • Monitor and improve our user support responses;

    • Respond to questions, comments and feedback; and

    • Inform you about steps taken to resolve user support issues.

  3. Research and development and security
    We may use the Personal Data we collect for testing, research, analysis and produce development. This allow us to understand and analyst your needs and preferences, protect your Personal Data, improve and enhance the safety and security of our Services, develop new features, products and services, and facilitate development of insurance and finance solutions.

If you wish to get an explanation as to how the processing for the new purpose is compatible with the original purpose, please contact us.

      You may delete your account at any time - this will remove your account page from our systems and our related software.
      We do not guarantee the ability to delete all stored data. If you would like us to delete/correct personally identifiable data, let us know and we will action your request as soon as practicable.

You need to prevent unauthorized access to your account and personal information by selecting and protecting your password appropriately and limiting access to your computer or device and by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.

    2. How Does Beecharge Protect Customers' Personal Data?
      We are concerned with keeping your data secure and protecting it from inappropriate disclosure. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.

      We may share your Personal Data at any time if required for legal reasons or in order to enforce our terms or this Privacy Policy.

  3. How long will we retain your data for?
    We will only retain your Personal Data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for. We may retain your Personal Data for a longer period than usual in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation in respect to our relationship with you.

  4. Age limit for our users
    You must not use Beecharge unless you are aged 18 or older. If you are under 18 and you access Beecharge by lying about your age, you must immediately stop using Beecharge. This service is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

  5. International transfer of data
    Your information may be stored and processed in Singapore or other countries or jurisdictions outside Singapore where Beecharge has facilities. We are currently storing data in Singapore and so, by using Beecharge, you are permitting and consenting to the transfer of information, including Personal Data, outside of Singapore.

  6. Notification of changes and acceptance of policy
    We keep our Privacy Policy under review and will place any updates on this webpage. This version is dated 01.01.23. By using Beecharge, you consent to the collection and use of data by us as set out in this Privacy Policy. Continued access or use of Beecharge shall constitute your express acceptance of any modifications to this Privacy Policy.

  7. Interpretation
    All uses of the word "including" mean "including but not limited to" and the enumerated examples are not intended to in any way limit the term which they serve to illustrate. Any email addresses set out in this policy may be used solely for the purpose for which they are stated to be provided, and any unrelated correspondence will be ignored. Unless otherwise required by law, we reserve the right to not respond to emails, even if they relate to a legitimate subject matter for which we have provided an email address. As a matter of common sense, you are more likely to get a reply if your request or question is polite, reasonable and there is no relatively obvious other way to deal with or answer your concern or question (e.g. FAQs, other areas of our website etc.).
    Our staff are not authorised to contract on behalf of Beecharge, waive rights or make representations (whether contractual or otherwise). If anything contained in an email from a Beecharge address contradicts anything in this policy, our terms or any official public announcement on our website, or is inconsistent with or amounts to a waiver of any Beecharge rights, the email content shall be read down to grant precedence to the latter. The only exception to this is genuine correspondence expressed to be from the Charge Fairy Limited legal department.
